DO YOU HAVE A RETAIL STORE THAT I CAN VISIT?

We have a retail store at 179 Pomeroy Avenue, Pismo Beach, California.

IS THERE SALES TAX ON MY ORDER?

There is no sales tax on candy in our home state, so you will not be charged any sales tax on candy no matter what state you are from! However, we are required to charge sales tax on our Novelty Items (T-Shirts, Glassware...)

DO I GET TO SPEAK TO A REAL PERSON IF I CALL?

Of course! Our phone lines are open Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. PST.

WHAT ARE YOUR HOURS OF OPERATION?

Our office is open Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m.– 3:00 p.m. PST.
Our retail store is open 8:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. PST, Saturday & Sunday 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

HOW IS MY ORDER PACKAGED?

Most orders are packaged in plain brown boxes. We package all orders with packing peanuts, air bags, and/or bubble wrap when necessary.

DO YOU SHIP TO APO/FPO ADDRESSES?

Yes, we do ship to all military addresses via United States Postal Service (USPS). Please contact us by phone 800-326-9676 or send us an email to orders@hotlix.com.

WHAT ARE MY SHIPPING OPTIONS?

We normally ship all packages United Parcel Service (UPS). The shipping options offered are Ground, 3 Day Select, 2nd Day Air, and Next Day Air.

WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?

The only form of online payment we accept is Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover.

WHAT DO I DO IF MY PACKAGE IS DAMAGED?

In the unfortunate event that your package arrives damaged, the first thing to do is give us a call. Once we have the specifics of your order and the damage, we can start the claims paperwork with UPS. Once this process is started, it usually takes only a business day or two before we are able to either issue a credit or reship the product.

WHAT DO I DO IF I HAVE NOT RECEIVED MY ORDER YET?

If you feel that you should have received your order by now, please wait one more day! UPS reserves up until the end of the day to deliver your order.

After that, please contact us at orders@hotmail.com or give us a call at 1-800-328-9676 and one of our account managers will assist you.

WHAT IS YOUR POLICY OF RETURNS AND REFUNDS?

We are sorry, but for simple health reasons we cannot accept any returned candy. 
If your package was sent back to us for a reason such as you were not available to sign for the package, we will investigate with UPS why the package came back to us and possibly refund you the product price, but not the shipping fee.

WHAT DO YOU DO ABOUT SHIPPING DURING THE WARM SUMMER MONTHS?

We include refrigerant gel packs (they last 24 hours) where applicable to aid in the safe arrival of the candy. 

ARE THE BUGS REAL? CAN YOU EAT THE INSECTS?

Yes, all of our bugs are real. They are processed & safe to eat. They’re crunchy & delicious!

WHY DO YOU PUT BUGS/ INSECTS IN THE CANDY?

Our owner found inspiration from the tequila with a worm.  He is also into insect eating, otherwise known as ‘entomophagy’.  People are already eating insects in widely popular foods, such as chocolate, ketchup, peanut butter, wine & many others. HOTLIX® is simply deliberate & transparent about it!
